well, i guess i have to qualify my answer. my highest spl with my old system was a 148.6 on the old dBdrag meter. which read about what 6dB? higher than the new dBdrag meter? the system was 2 JL audio 10W7's and 2 JL audio 500/1. it wasn't built for all out spl, just the most i could get out of something that was loud as hell and still sounded ok. might not break 140 on the new meter, but still loud as hell for 2 10's. |

138db was the loudest I ever checked of mine. Problem is I can't remember what I was using. That was several systems ago. It will come to me.

139.1 was the loudest. I was and am still using 2 Audiobahn 10s with the A8002 800w Audiobahn Amp. This will change soon as I'm going to uprade to two Orion 12s. |

Oh yeah back to the original question or at least the other half of it.
My current subs are (2) Alpine SWR-1022D 10" Type-R subs. Right now there in there boxes under my coffee table, but will be in the car soon. Maybe. If I'd get of my a*s and build a enclosure that is |

well, me personally in my own car....
1 custom tc9 15. mt soft parts, cf dust cap, flat wound alluminum coils, d2, and whatever else it had, in 4 cubes at 37 firing up in my 05 stang with an opti 4000 being strangled to hell and back by my shitty electrical pushed out a 138.1 Terrible I know, the amp later died and I said f**k audio. Box is still in trunk, I built it in the car. never again.
someone elses car.... when vic owned the blazer kenny now owns, he had 2 15" rlp's on a power acoustin PA3000db or whatever, not pushing full out, maybe 800 to each. did a 154 sealed up db drag style on the TL. thats loudest yet, but I think if kenny would have kept the setup I told him from the get go in his chrysler old lady car, we could have 57's |

I think that I got 139 on the meter at RS in the Sebring. That was with the 2 CVR 12's and a Fosgate Amp in a ported box. Wish I had never sold that stuff for the stupid Octane Z stuff I got. Cheaper, but never panned out. I went into it half-heartedly and obviously haven't done much since. Current system, stock system in my G6. If I let the back windows down while driving, it sounds like some 12's bumping though. |

Well recently I sold my old setup and now have 2 Orion 12s with a 1200 watt mono block class d amp. I'm hoping to be able to get around 145. What do you guys think? |

Which Orions do you have? What 1200w amp do you have? What type of enclosure will you be using? |

The amp: HCCA-D1200
The subs: HP 12D2
The box is a professional bass box with like rhino lining sprayed on it to prevent flexing. |
